I watched a video today that shook me to my core. Three minutes of raw, unfiltered brutality—an inmate being viciously beaten by another inmate, and not one single Correctional Officer anywhere to be found. Three entire minutes. Do you know how long that is when your life is in danger? When you’re someone’s mother, father, wife, child, sitting on the outside praying to God your loved one doesn’t become the next body dragged out?
They’re saying it happened in a Tucson, Arizona prison. But let me be clear—I don’t give a damn what prison it was. Because this isn’t about where—it’s about what. And what we’re seeing is a system that has completely lost control. Or worse—a system that’s deliberately allowing this kind of violence for a price.
You heard me right.
People inside are saying this wasn’t random. This wasn’t a fluke. This was a pay-to-play assault. Correctional Officers turning their backs—or even worse, opening the gates—for a fee. A little extra cash to look the other way while someone gets stomped out on concrete.
And then we get the gall of a statement from Senator Payne, chair of the Senate Public Safety Committee:
“What transpired within this prison is inexcusable and incredibly troubling. I fear for the lives of the correctional officers and staff who are reporting to duty every day and risking their safety in a facility that has proven it cannot prevent dangerous criminals from inflicting violence.”
Really, Payne?
You fear for the lives of the COs?
Let me tell you something. If my husband—who is serving his time, who deserves dignity, safety, and basic human rights—ever comes out of that prison with so much as a scratch from another inmate or a Correctional Officer? I am coming for the throats of every single person involved. From the CO who opened the door, to the captain who signed off on it, to the warden who turned a blind eye. I’ll rain hell through every legal channel, every news outlet, every courtroom I can find. You do not get to profit off pain and hide behind a badge. Not when families are out here doing time right alongside our loved ones.
This isn’t rehabilitation. This isn’t corrections. This is a bloodsport, and it’s being watched, recorded, and passed around like entertainment. And y’all have the nerve to act like it’s just “part of prison life”?
It’s not. It’s corruption. It’s negligence. It’s abuse.
So I have some questions:
Where are the cameras?
Where were the officers?
Who’s being paid, and by who?
Why was that inmate left alone and unprotected for three minutes?
How many more of these beatings never make it to social media?
How many families never find out the truth?
I’m sick of the silence. I’m sick of the excuses. And I’m damn sure tired of the narrative that these people—our people—are disposable just because they’re behind bars.
You want public safety, Senator Payne? Start with the safety of those inside the walls—because chaos behind the fences always spills into the streets.
Families are watching. We are wide awake now. And we will not stop demanding answers.
Not today. Not ever.
If you think this is bad, my LO is in Tucson. It’s much much worse. Message me. I have mounds of documentation.
Thank you so much for reaching out. We have sent you an email, as we are very interested in connecting with you.
